Today….
Mountains (not kidding here!) of post-vacation laundry are done, folded, and put away.
The kids are at the movies with friends, which means that the house is blissfully quiet.
My to-do list has all tasks neatly and very satisfyingly crossed off. (Ahhh!)
I do have two more weeks of final school stuff coming up plus plans for a recipe I'll be trying out later this week.
So, I'm kind of in need of some personal refreshment, which means I. Must. Do. Something. Creative.
Sooo….
I have Beny telling me "Como Fue" on iTunes, and Photoshop Elements 6 humming along, and I'm feeling pretty creative and clever and beginning to feel positively refreshed. (and relieved to have finally caught up on my assignments for my digital scrapbooking class, but that's not important right now….)
Here are the creative fruits of today's labor:
Finished this one late in the day:
This last layout has a long (and nicely complicated) story attached to it. I think I'll save it for another blog post. 😉
Thanks for letting me share. Now I can return to my regularly (OVER) scheduled Life. =D
NOTE: Online Digital Scrapbooking class is taught by the lovely and talented Jessica Sprague.

Marta:First of all, congrats on losing 15 pounds. Unfortunately, that was the last line I could read- I couldn’t scroll on the zoom.
Secondly, those layouts are GOORRRRRgeeeeuuhhhssss! What program did you use to make them? I have not done digital yet because I like to put my hands on the stuff but those are amazing!
besos!

Claudia,You’re reading the journaling?? LOL.
Fine… the next two lines are:
“I have just celebrated my fifty-third birthday.
I’m just amazed that all of this is happening in my life right now.”
(I was thinking of writing about what it’s like to be a late bloomer – that was the gist. But I’m feeling pretty tapped for words right now, so that was the best I could muster.)
I used Photoshop Elements 6 for the Mac. I am completely in LOVE! Although I do love to get my hands dirty (but I can do that in the kitchen!), you can’t beat how quick and easy the digital thing is. These were the first five class assignments. Plus there’s NO CLEAN-UP. That’s a big draw for a lazy person like me. =D
I’m looking forward to playing and doing some more. Glad you liked them!
Un besote,
Marta

Great pages! I can’t believe you consider that “personal refreshment” time. It is hard for those of us who are not as creative to appreciate! On line????? Love ya!

Hi Marta,Is there a significance of where you guys are standing on in the last picture above?….It looks like the same neighborhood that we lived in Havana, El Nuevo Vedado.

Marta:Of course I read the journaling! 🙂 I don’t have a mac, so I guess I’m out of luck.
