THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO ENTERED!!
It’s obviously no secret that Cuban coffee runs through my veins. My favorite, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is Café La Llave. The truth is that it gives me all lots of happy Cuban energy. And I absolutely couldn’t live without it.
And while I love my sweet buchito of espresso every morning, I have to confess that I’m also in love with the Café La Llave Espresso in the larger K-pods.
I’m so happy they have given me that option for my 3pm slump. You KNOW what I’m talking about.
Also, it makes an amazing café con leche, but that’s not important right now.
We’re coming up on Easter and my friends at Café La Llave have graciously offered to host a giveaway with a beautiful basket of Café La Llave Espresso Style Coffee for the K-cups. (Thank you, my friends!)
The Basket I’m giving away has 4 boxes of Café La Llave with 12 K-Cup pods each. Plus two Café La Llave white mugs with green lettering. You know you want it.
So, let’s do this!
Here’s how to enter the giveaway for this Beautiful Café La Llave Espresso Style K-Cup Coffee Basket: Leave a comment and answer one or all of the following questions.
- Tell me how long you’ve been drinking coffee. (Younger than 5?)
- How many times a day do you typically re-fuel?
- Real or Decaf? (I know. Shut up.)
Leave a comment here on this post to enter. Also, let me tell you how you can have a second chance to win this beautiful basket…
You are welcome to leave entry messages on Facebook and Instragram. They all count! What a delightful adventure this turned out to be!
Go over to Instagram and “like” Cafe La Llave – then come back and say “I liked Cafe La Llave on Instagram!” (I’m going on the honor system here, but I’ll do a few spot checks to make sure you’re following directions.)
I feel like you’re going to love following them anyway, so it’s a win for both of us. What are you waiting for? Let’s get our coffee on!
I’ll be choosing a winner on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 at 11:00 am. I’ll post the winner right here on this blog post. Good luck!

La Llave is my favorite espresso coffee! My parents allowed me a buchito de cafe now and then at around 5 years old. Now I drink it twice a day, and my son and gringo husband are espresso drinkers too. With us, only the real stuff will do; no decaf. I followed and liked Cafe La Llave’s Chirino post.
Thank you!

I am going to be 70 in May. I started drinking coffee in my twenty’s. My granddaughter who is now 17, started going after her Mom’s coffee cup as soon as she could toddle around!

I hope this is where I’m to respond to the Cafe La Llave questions.
1. I’ve been drinking coffee for 40 years. I started when I was 29 years old. I discovered cafe con leche after going to a Cuban diner in Miami with my Cuban friend. Almost everyday after work we would treat ourselves to cafe con leche & pan. And of course — — croquettes hamon. Then years later I married a Cuban &now I make cafe daily. Plus I found you trying to find true, authentic Cuban recipes.
2. Now in my retirement I drink 1-2 American coffee a day plus a cafecito. In my younger years I had 2-5 cups of coffee.
3, Definitely REAL COFFEE.
prior to coming here I added Cafe La Llave to instagram and Facebook.
Thank you for keeping the Cuban traditions alive. It helps me learn about the culture.

I started drinking Cafe (con Leche) when I was about 7 or 8!! Really, it was so much leche that it doesn’t count as child abuse—(In a Cuban family it may be considered abuse if you DON’T have cafe!)
Nowadays, I only have one cup, and sadly, it’s decaf because of my blood pressure issues. Sigh.
(I did follow Cafe la Llave on Instagram–you can check, Martha!)
Gracias!

I’ve been drinking coffee since I was about 6. I’m now 32 going on 33. On a normal day, I re-fuel about 2 times, but if I’m in desperate need, about 3 or 4. As to regular or decaf, I’m more regular but don’t mind decaf here and there. #Cafe #CafeConLeche
MARIA MALVAR says
If café con leche counts then I started around age 2 but straight since I was a teenager which was many moons ago. I love mi cafecito right after lunch it sets me up for the rest of the day. What is decaf?? Hahaha, just kidding. For me is the real thing or nothing.
PS: my son has become excellent at making cafecito con espumita. I guess it’s true what they say…the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

I ve been drinking coffee as cafe con leche since I was an infant. And to this day I do not like the taste?of plain milk. Then I graduated to coffee on cuban bread with sugar on top. This was all in my younger years in Cuba. And I drink coffee now once or twice a day. If at home decaf but at family the real thing with real sugar no Splenda🙂

I’m currently 41 and probably have been drinking Cafe for 41 years. No joke! My Tia used to dip my pacifier in cafe and wet my lips with it when she would make it. Growing up it would be the Cafe con leche that my Abuela used to make. So I still drink it like crazy! The sound and smell of cafe being made is my life story, and also a wonderful memory of my loved ones that I’ve lost.
