[This is not a sponsored post. These are my favorite places to order Cuban comfort food – and a couple of not-Cuban, but delicious things – online. The opinions are all my own.]
Have you spent the last few months ordering everything you need and want online? I have. It’s been a strange year that way. Especially when it comes to food. We have been ordering food online from our favorite local restaurants for drive-through pick up or at-home delivery.
But my particular brand of comfort food (and yours?) happens to be Cuban. So it was quite a happy accident to find that so many of my favorite places – more than a couple are in Miami – will deliver all the way across the country to ME! IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!
Hence the reason for this list. Most are sent frozen or packed cold ready to be thawed and cooked. Please bookmark and enjoy!
Here’s My Big Fat Cuban Best Places That Will Ship Cuban Food To Your Door Nationwide in 2020 in no particular order. Pa’lante y con fe.
All the links below are for online ordering at each place listed.
PORTO’S BAKE AT HOME
Of course, I have to begin with Porto’s Bake at Home. They are the nearest to me geographically and dearest to me because I have loved everything about them forever.
Porto’s has been doing the Bake at Home thing for a few years now.
The same cheese rolls and pastelitos you get in the bakeries are available for you to bake at home. They arrive frozen with complete instructions for baking and getting that “fresh from the oven” taste.
I’ve used their Bake at Home service both for myself and as gifts for friends. Talk about Happy Mail!
Full disclosure: I’ve sent boxes to friends in Miami – where there are Cuban bakeries literally on every corner – and they’ve been amazed at how delicious the potato balls and cheese rolls are.
The best Cuban food in Southern California. Amen.

BURGER BEAST SAUCES
This is a different kind of thing, as it’s just a sauce. And when I say, “just a sauce,” I mean “Wow! That is crazy good!! I want it on everything.”
I wrote all about the Beast Sauce here. We have 3 favorite ways to enjoy the Classic Beast Sauce:
- As a burger topping.
- In a meatloaf. (believe it!)
- When making wings.
He also has a Honey Mustard Curry that I, personally prefer as a dipping sauce. And if you catch him just right, you may find Guava Sriracha Ketchup and Cheddar popcorn available on his site. Which is, of course, the reason you must keep checking back to his shop to see what The Burger Beast is up to.

SERGIO’S CUBAN
If you’ve ever been to Miami, you know how great Sergio’s Cuban is. They were kind enough to send us, well, a Cuban FEAST from start to finish.
You can order this amazingness through goldbelly.com/sergios.
The box came with all the following frozen dishes:
- Ropa Vieja
- Picadillo
- Plantains
- Empanadas de pollo
- Croquetas
- Pastelitos
The Ropa Vieja was the hands down favorite. The Picadillo was so good, but the Ropa won everyone over by a mile.
The chicken empanadas were a huge hit. The only thing I really had to make was the rice, which is easy, of course.
And next time I would go ahead and fry the croquetas, instead of air-fry. I was worried that they wouldn’t turn out right going from frozen. The taste was great! The execution (me and my air-fryer), not so much.
As we sat at the table talking and sharing the delicious Cuban food, I got this great feeling of nostalgia and the vibe was definitely, “This is how a Cuban dinner is supposed to taste and feel.”
Thank you, Sergio’s Cuban. Cuban food delivered nationwide, people!
We all toasted Sergio’s as we finished off those perfect pastelitos.

SANGUICH DE MIAMI
I visited Sanguich last year when I was in Miami and have to say they have THE BEST CUBAN SANDWICH I’ve ever had. So we ordered the works to be able to make those great Cuban Sandwiches at home and they did not disappoint.
It was a must-visit spot as part of the Pero Let Me Tell You Tour of Little Havana Experience.
All the ingredients including their freshly made lechón and ham, and their homemade bread arrived fresh and ready to bring it to the plancha. I highly recommend this box as either a Christmas gift to send to someone you love, or for a fabulous way to treat your family.
Here’s the original Cuban Sanguich you get at the OG Sanguich de Miami restaurant in Little Havana.
Here’s the Cuban Sanguich with all of the same ingredients out of the Darby Plancha in So Cal.
Two words: WORTH IT. This was definitely THE BEST CUBAN SANDWICH I’ve ever had at home.
Thank you so much, Sanguich de Miami. In the immortal words of the Terminator: “I’ll be back.”

VICKY BAKERY
My first stop on my Pero Let Me Tell You Tour of Miami last year (Yes, I am going to keep talking about it, thankyouverymuch) happened to be for breakfast at Vicky Bakery. Pan Cubano con Cafe con Leche, dos croquetas and a Coke. Sounds amazing, right? It was indeed!
When Vicky Bakery decided they would be shipping their awesomeness across the U.S. I was the first one with my hand up saying, “Yes, please!”
The box they sent was a Cuban dream to someone who lives across the country and in a place that doesn’t have a Cuban bakery on every corner.
We kept it frozen for a few days and then I had a bake-fest and invited all the kids over to embrace their Cubanity.
With one voice we all said: “Que sweet it is!”

DOS CROQUETAS
Have I mentioned that I was in Miami last year and got to taste the award winning croquetas from Dos Croquetas? It was at Croquetapalooza last year and they were perfection.
Dos Croquetas sent us a box of sweet and savory and we decided to have a Croqueta-taste-a-thon. Which clearly means I invited the kids to come over to taste croquetas.
My personal favorite was The 305 which had picadillo and plantains together in a bite size Croqueta of Perfection.
Then there was also the award winning Media Noche. If you close your eyes, you’re biting into a perfect media noche sandwich. What strange alchemy is this?
I recommend everyone visit Dos Croquetas when they’re in Miami.
And I recommend everyone order Dos Croquetas online if they’re not in Miami.

ABUELA MAMI
I have been the happy recipient of many Abuela Mami Miami boxes of “Cuban Goodies in Your Mailbox.” It’s a subscription service and makes a wonderful gift for anyone missing their own big fat Cuban family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kiki and Humby Valdes last year in Miami (see? I did it again!) and am so delighted and proud to share their genius business with you.
They have since branched out to a delicious original blend of Abuela Mami Cuban Coffee that you really need to try.
I was delighted to be one of the very first recipients of the Abuela Mami subscription box and they have never disappointed. Give it a try and tell them Marta sent you.

WE ARE COCINA
I was recently introduced to We Are Cocina and their authentic Argentinian Chimichurri Sauce. I know, I know. They’re not Cuban. But they are delicious. And they ship! This would be an awesome gift to send out to that foodie – or maybe that Argentinian friend? – on your list who has everything.
Full disclosure: It has a little bit of a bite (for me, anyway, because Cuban), so be forewarned. Eric just reminded me that most of the rest of the free world enjoys a little spice in their food. So there’s that.

CAFE LA LLAVE
To be honest, I am gifting Cafe La Llave to quite a few people on my list this year, because Cuban. And also, I honestly believe they have the very best tasting espresso. They also happen to be one of my favorite blog sponsors, but that’s not important right now.
As long as I’m being honest – take it while you can get it! – I’ve switched to their Cafe La Llave Decaf Espresso recently because caffeine has started to want to discuss deep things at around 3:00 am and I’m not about that. So, decaf espresso (in the orange packaging). Same delicious flavor. Win-win. (Don’t judge.)
Now they even have their delicious espresso in pods for Nespresso machines and K-Cups for Keurig machines. (click the link below)
Thank you for everything Cafe La Llave. (Especially for the orange cans. I know. Shut up.)

UMIKAH
I met the delightful owner of this shop a dozen years ago when we were both newish to blogging. I watched as my Argentinian friend, Uchi Davidzon developed and began marketing her delicious sauces and I kept promising myself I’d order some soon. Well, you know what they say about good intentions…
But I saw an Instagram post from her Umikah shop that she shared and that very day I ordered her Dulce de Leche and Chocolate Spread. Wait. Just take a moment and think about what that flavor combination is all about.
Thank you. Carry on.
They happened to be out the day she received my order and she sent me a sampler pack of 1 spread and 2 curds – Passion Fruit and Yuzu – for me to try while they made more of the chocolate.
Wow! Was I ever impressed! I’m adding her Umikah spreads to my list today because I can’t get enough and I know you’ll feel the same. Also, I’m looking forward to working with them in the coming new year.

Love this!!! We get Porto’s bake at home a lot nowadays.
Miss traveling to Miami visiting relatives and eating all the places
Sergio’s, Vicky’s bakery.

As much as I love this idea and want to try, it is so expensive! Some of these places charge as much or more for shipping than the actual item. For a single Cubana like myself, it’s just not feasible 🙁

Hi there. I’m in Central Virginia and wanting information on ordering Cuban bread. I lived in SoFla for 25 years and I so miss it.
Thank you.
Andee Davis says
Dos Croquetas sells Cuban bread, 12 small loaves per order at $12.99 + shipping. The total for the loaves and shipping was $31.17. I’m unsure if shipping was more because it was shipped from Miami to Washington State. We finished eating all of them in 2 1/2 days. I’ve also been able to find Pan de Media Noche, Midnight Bread, 16oz on Amazon. Hope that helps. 🙂

Anybody shipping Cuban tamales? It’s been years
Andee Davis says
We moved from West Palm Beach to Seattle a little over 10 years ago. My husband has been less than impressed with any Cuban food found up here. So, I ordered from Sergio’s and DOS CROQUETAS for Christmas. He loved everything! Thank you for the additional shops. We were looking for other places that ship Cuban food from Miami.
Alice Carroll says
I like that you mentioned that Cuban cuisine is also known for its coffee. I’d like to find a Cuban restaurant soon because I’ve always been a bit curious about the food over there. Hopefully, it will be easy to verify how authentic the dishes are compared to if I actually went to Cuba.
