***************************************************************
I know sometimes I start gushing (Yes, I gush. I know. Shut up.) about a Cuban company because I love them so much. That’s always the case when I talk about Porto’s Bakery.
My friends in Miami – where there’s a Cuban bakery on every corner – mocked me so royally.
305 People: “We have a Cuban bakery on every corner and you have Porto’s. LOL!”
I found that the best way to stop that train is to send out a couple of boxes of pastelitos, potato balls, or cheese rolls from the Porto’s Bake at Home menu.
My, oh my, did they ever change their tune.
305 people: “This is the Best. Food. Ever!”
Of course, I’m not surprised. Because it’s true. Porto’s has the BEST. FOOD. EVER.
These past few months, I’ve been using their Bake at Home service. A lot. Because Cuban.
I reached out to Porto’s Bake at Home and asked if they’d like to sponsor a giveaway for my 14th Year in the Blogosphere. They said a quick and resounding, “Yes!”
Not only that, to celebrate my Blogoversary (14 Years, people!) they sent me one of their newest Bake at Home goodies – a luscious Milk ‘N Berries Cake. It arrives frozen and you just thaw it whenever you’re ready for some very Cuban deliciousness.
Full disclosure: We let it thaw a little too long. But still, it was fantastic and I’d definitely order it again! Also, thanks Porto’s!
Which brings me to The 10th MBFCF Fourteen Years in the Blogosphere Giveaway of 2020:
- 2 dozen Bake at Home pastries of the winner’s choice!
To enter the giveaway for a chance to win 2 dozen of Porto’s best Cuban pastries, please leave a comment right here on THIS POST and tell me:
- Go to Porto’s Bake at Home and look over their menu, come back and tell me what looks delicious to you.
I’ll be choosing ONE winner on Friday, October 23rd, 2020 at 11:00 am PST. You have until then to enter.
This is some serious Cubanity, people! Buen Provecho!

Porto’s delivers big on Cuban deliciousness for those of us in California. Everything is delicious and it’s cheaper than taking a trip to my beloved Miami. I’m partial to the cheese rolls and chicken empanadas.

I miss the potato balls (papa rellenas) and the pasteles de guayaba. My abuelas used to make the best of everything Cuban but I did not learn to make the papa’s rellenos and I can’t seem to find guava paste in my area.
Carmela C. says
Everything looks so good. Of course anything guava is a win. Their “guava strudel” is a must and would love to try their chicken empanadas.
Julie McMullin says
Clearly the Pastel de Carne and Cheese Roll are an absolute MUST but the Chocolate Twist is also calling my name… This would be a very difficult (but delicious) decision!

I’ve been to Porto’s while on vacay from Minnesota. Pastelitos de guayaba con queso for me!!! Why, you ask, to quote you, because, Cuban!
Faustino Rodriguez says
As soon as I clicked on the Porto’s link I saw “papas rellenas.” How I LOVE “papas rellenas.” My mom made them when my brother and I were kids and we looked forward to it. My mom is older now and she does not make them that often anymore but I surely do miss her “papas rellenas.” I am older as well and I cannot eat them as often as I would like.
Se me hace la boca agua!
Natalie says
Pastelitos, especially de guayaba y queso! Please pick me!!

Went to Porto’s website, how do you only pick one item of choice?!?! It all looks so amazing! But a true Cuban has to go with pastel de guayaba.
Danyel Murphy says
I want them all!!! Ever since I moved out to the country over 1000 miles away from the 305 and my family, I cannot find any Cuban food. Of course my mom sends care packages with my favorite candies and cookies. My stomach started growling and I definitely started drooling when I went on the Porto’s site and saw my favorites Arroz Con Pollo Frito and the pastel de guayaba 🤤😊❤️
