Oye, people! I’m so enjoying the month of October. Because My Big Fat Cuban Family is 13 years old now which means all kinds of giveaways.
I’m especially enjoying promoting all of my cyber-friends this month and I particularly love that they are sharing the love by sponsoring this super fun month of giveaways.
I’m excited today to tell you all about Melissa’s Produce. As you’re probably aware, we have an awesome relationship with them and they’ve been the catalyst for the ongoing fresh produce challenges based on whatever produce is in season. I’ve been so happy to participate in the challenges and have been grateful to get a really great education about how to choose seasonal produce.
I have been honored that I get to share my food creations based on the box of fresh stuff they send me.
- Please appreciate my Freaky Fruits and Spooky Sauces.
- Of course, I’ve shared how I make My Homemade Cherry Pop Tarts.
- Melissa’s Produce has helped me Taking Our Movie Snacks To The Next Level.
- I’ve made Roasted Artichokes with Dipping Sauces.
- And I’ve been able to Impress The Guests with my Crispy Leaf Potatoes Recipe.
I’m delighted to share that Melissa’s is giving away three (3) of their fabulous cookbooks and some of their Clean Snax to go with them. Which means we will have 3 lucky winners for this giveaway.
The cookbooks are these:
Melissa’s 50 Best Plants on the Planet Cookbook
Melissa’s Everyday Cooking with Organic Produce
Each of these 3 would be a wonderful addition to your Cookbook Library. Because, can we truly have too many cookbooks? (The answer to that, is, of course, a big NO.)
We’ll make this giveaway a comment drawing. Meaning that to enter, you need to leave a comment right here.
Here’s how to enter the giveaway for a chance to win one of the 3 fabulous Melissa’s Produce Cookbooks and Clean Snax.
To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment right here on THIS POST and answer the following question…
- What’s your favorite vegetable or fruit? (I’m going to have to go with the plantain on this one, because Cuban. But that’s not important right now.

My favorite vegetable is the humble potato and my favorite fruit is the golden kiwi. There used to be a very famous COMIDA CHINA Y ESPAÑOL on the upper West Sidd of Manhattan, only taxi drivers knew about it. Well I dated a taxi driver and that food was amazing – it was predominantly Cuban. The neighborhood became gentrified and my favorite restaurant is no more. Love your blog and I’d love to celebrate with you with one of these amazing cookbooks!
