Today's the day for the Big Reveal and a cool Pier 1 Giveaway. My patio is seriously so bright and inviting now. I'm so excited to share.

My vision was to create a new, brighter and much more inviting space in the front of our home on our porch. Like I told you before, we spend a lot of time there and I knew I wanted something that felt super welcoming.
I also knew I wanted lots of color. I wanted it to practically scream, "Hello, Summer!"
I trotted off to Pier 1 with my trusty iPad mini under my arm wtih all my Pinterest pins ready to feed my inspiration. Wasn't that super post-modern of me? I know.

I chose the furniture first. I knew I wanted the rattan and I was totally drawn to the Pier 1 Coco Cove Collection. So the question then became: What color?
We had just recently painted our home a bright yellow, so I decided the Mocha would add the most dramatic contrast with all the bright colors I intended to add, so I went for it.
I ended up getting the Coco Cove Settee, the Ottoman (to be used as a coffee table), and the Armchair. All in that beautifully rich Mocha.
I'm thinking I can now call this my Outdoor Oasis. Behold the awesome…
I confess that choosing the color for the cushions was much more of a challenge. I wanted them all. And while I love online shopping, is there anything better than seeing and touching and dreaming in person?
Kudos to the friendly Pier 1 gal who was completely helpful and gracious as I was moving furniture and cushions around in the store. Because it's very difficult to commit to new stuff unless you establish a relationship. Am I right?
I opted for solid seat cushions in bright green for the settee and orange for the armchair. I chose the Kaeden pillows to pull in all those fabulous bright colors.
If you've been following my crazy on Instagram (I'm Smrtqbn, by the way), you know that I have been a little bit on the obsessed side with these ceramic stools. I just couldn't decide between red or green. If you know me at all, you could have safely guessed I'd go for the red one, of course. Because….hello…RED.
I think it makes an ideal plant stand, don't you? I'm thinking that if I just had one Summer accent piece to choose, this would be the one.
The ottoman is the perfect size for us to use as a coffee table, and of course to put our feet up when we're not. I added the red lacquer bamboo tray for when we serve drinks out here. I'm so looking forward to my Saturday Porch Time with my next-door-neighbor and friend, Debbie. See how wonderfully inviting this looks?

I’m in the process of getting a new deck so new furniture is on my list. Here in Michigan we’ve been aching to be outdoors and for some warm weather after the horrendous winter we’ve had. So, all things bright and colorful are on my wish-list. I love all the wicker outdoor furniture with those beautiful patterned and colored cushions!
Love what you did with your seating area! We have a big table and chairs on our deck but they’re lacking some color so I’d definitely go for the brightly colored cushions and I am all in for the ceramic stools. We have some in our bonsai garden in traditional Japanese designs so these colorful ones would be a nice change. Pick me cause I NEVER win anything!!! Love ya Marti!

I have been eyeing the double swingasan with the green cushion for the last couple months! I can just see my daughter and I spending quality time together on that swing!
Love what you did to your front porch!!! Amazing! I’d choose Lantern’s (glass for shells to display) and White outdoor (lantern’s) for candles (to set the mood). I love the blues of the ocean, so would have to check for accent pieces. Another item they have that I like is the Citrus Cilantro liquid for their diffusers. It smells fresh/clean. A favorite!!
Love what you did there and the colors are awesome. I’m in the midst of changing the entrances to my house and making it more inviting as well. We purchased a outside buffet table but I need a wall hanging to go over it and some awesome accessories. I’m even considering putting a lamp on it. :-)Beso!

I want – no, I NEED – the Coco Cove Settee, Rocker, and Armchair in Honey (with the ottoman as a table…great idea!). I’d liven up the set with the Citrus cushions and the Kemspey floral pillows. See? I desperately need some more colorful cushions for our chairs…perhaps the Kassius or the Kaeden ones. Those colors are so fabulous! I want to create a colorful and inviting outdoor living area like yours!
I need that Sunasan!! For realz! There are tons of outdoor candle lamps (those Bohemian Mercury Hanging Lanterns are crazy amazing) that I would love as well as a blue garden stool that is fabulous. Oh Martica, you have NO idea what you have started. My hubby will not thank you;)

I think I’d get some long over due cushions. Maybe work on a retan set! I want to spend more time outside this year. Sometimes the heat really knocks me out. I deffinatelly have aEclectic style. I just love Pier One! My color is orange so I would deffinatelly love something orange. You’re patio looks lovely. I must come and visit! I feel the need for ice tea!
I just love, to the Crayola degree, all of the color you’ve got going on!!! My wish list is obscenely long and it includes string lights, paper lanterns, an aluminum umbrella & a beverage tub!

I started searching the site for items id love to place in my dream yard but then realized that giving the card to someone more deserving would be more satisfying than gettin somethin for myself. I have a Tia that is actually my mom in every sense of the word. She has MS and although unable to work, she uses whatever money she does have to help those around her. They have so many beautiful things! I went straight to the outdoor dining options and I love the Carmelo Melamine Dinnerware/Indigo – lovely! I’d pair it with the wonderful swirl pitcher in blues and greens, which reminds me of tropical seas… Add in the clear acrylic stemware and I’d have place settings fit for the entire summer… Happy sigh! After the never ending winter we had here in Maryland I need things I can leave in my backyard all yearlong to remind me that summer will be back again! So the tropical parrot stake and the terracotta turtle with baby will give me something to look at even when we’re knee deep in snow, but the pre-lit flamingo will definitely have all my neighbors saying oh that’s the cuban lady’s house for sure!

First of all, thank you for even hosting this giveaway. I normally wouldn’t splurge on Pier 1 items for various reasons so I’m grateful for this giveaway + wishing everyone good luck. Just had to point out that I think I skipped over the rules (yikes!), so just as an fyi-I’m 16 and do have permission from my mother to enter. Okay, so (= just by looking around I’ve compiled my ‘Stuff I Like’ list which includes the Green Mesh Food Cover (not exactly my taste but I know my granny would love it to keep the pesky bugs at bay), either one of the turtle/mira/barkaris mugs, a lantern, the Carson/Collette hamper, and the copper (in my opinion, copper is an understated metal and can really neutralize all kinds of pretty and crazy and pretty crazy colors en la cocina) canisters. I’ve really been wanting to get a papasan chair for my terrace so I can laze about with a book, magazine or my laptop so I can enjoy the beautiful weather. Right now, we just have some ugly fold up chairs that are so uncomfortable, so I never use them.
