I love getting stuff in the mail.
LOVE IT.
Which is why I subscribe to magazines and order stuff online.
Just so I get to hear a knock at the door and have someone hand me a box.
Don’t really care what it is.
Love the USPS.
Love the UPS truck.
Love the FedEx truck.
But, this.
This is by far one of the happiest boxes I have ever opened.
Assorted pastelitos. From Tommy’s Bakery in Miami.
Practically still hot.
They’re from my boss. (Thank you so much, Val. NOW I’m feeling better!)
Amy’s in the kitchen heating up the milk for the Café con Leche.
Oh yeah. I’m feeling the love. =D

I too received a care package from the boss and feel loved. My family just feels grateful! Do you think if we beg the boss will make it say, an official bi-monthly benefit of our “employment” contract? he he.

jluix-I’m convinced the Care Package was invented by a Cuban mother. =D
Ziva-
I LOVE the perks of this “job.”

That reminds me of the care packages my Mom used to send me when I was away for college in Boston. It was nearly impossible to get Cuban food back in the ’90’s in Boston. The closest good Cuban restaurant was Victor’s Cafe in Manhattan. So after a few months of surviving on nothing but clam chowder :-), she’d send me a dozen Cuban sandwiches from Latin American Cafeteria. I’d eat one and freeze the rest, which would last me a good while, long enough until the next break when I could fly back home to Miami.

How do you say “Hallelujah” in Cuban?HAHAHA!
🙂
Thanks, Val!
