All four of my kids tend toward the dramatic.
I won't take credit for their abilities, but I think their tendency towards drama comes from their (ahem) Cuban genes. =D
Both Lucy and Jonathan have leads in their respective upcoming productions. Lucy is going to be "Puck" in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and both she and Jon are constantly practicing their lines and getting into their characters (I promise this information is relevant to the rest of the story).
So Eric and I are going for our evening walk (which is really more of a "trudge" because it's practically vertical, and okay, that was a little bit of a complaint, but that's not important right now).
The kids decide to go up the same hill, but they take a different route. So we get to the park at the top when out of nowhere we hear a voice:
"How now, spirit! Whither wander you?"
(Umm – loose translation … hello there! Where are you going?)
The disembodied voice sounds like Lucy, but it's coming from…..
…..above us?
What the heck??
"Lord what fools these mortals be!"
See what I mean? Flair for the dramatic.
(I blame myself. *sigh*)

Ah, the cockles of my heart are warmed by this.
