It hit me last night when a friend asked what I was doing this weekend . . . "Oh. My. Goodness! I’m going to be in Miami!"
Then my brother, Adam, called, "Amy [he hasn’t gotten used to calling me Kikita yet], what should I pack?"
Pack? Oh. My. Goodness!
I am not even sure where my suitcase IS.
Then I get a text message, "Are you taking your jeans?"
Oh. My. Goodness! I have a pile of laundry to do!
Obviously, first thing’s first, I have to start drinking more cafe to build up my caffeine immunity. 😉
For those of you coming to Cuba Nostalgia to meet my Mom (and maybe get your book signed), she is officially scheduled to be at the Babalú Booth on:
- Friday, May 16, from 12 to 3PM.
- Saturday, May 17, from 7 to 9PM.
- Sunday, May 18, from 2 to 3PM.
Otherwise, Adam and I will be working at the Babalú Booth on both Friday and Saturday nights until 11PM. We’ll be handing out CAMBIO bracelets and helping to get signatures for this petition which asks for the release of Cuban political prisoners. We’re cool that way.
Ready or not! Here we come!

Dont’ bother with jeans – it’s sooo hot here. I’ve been here a week and I think I have sweat out a portion of my body weight. :)See you at Cuba Nostalgia!

Kikita,I’m also looking forward to meeting you and your beautiful mother … and brother, Adam … thanks for sharing the information on your mother’s book signing. Please reserve a signed copy for me!
This is my first Cuba Nostalgia … I’m so excited!!! Could you help me out as to which day and time is the best to attend if time is limited … and there are way too many relatives to visit? LOL!! 🙂
Do they have a ticket deal for all three days?
I wish you well 🙂 Melek
