And that comes with a certain amount of reverence for the unexplained and supernatural and, alright, I’m a little bit superstitious, but that’s not important right now.

Her bday is the 28th of this month, Marta and this would be the BEST birthday present!     In my old age, I am becoming more cubanized (is this a word?) than ever.
    I wear my “aritos” – they were my mother’s- on my left arm (18 of them). My father would give one to my mother every year as an anniversary present. He stopped when my mother decided she didn’t want any more. That’s a shame!
    For special occasions, I also wear a Cuban link, charm bracelet my aunt gave me “por mis quince”.
    You can never have too many bracelets.
