I’m kicking off my Celebration of 13 Big Fat Cuban BloggyWonderful Years with the most fun giveaway ever!
People, I have hats! No, no. Correction. I have Cuban. Vintage. Baseball. Caps. Oh, the Cubanity! (Take a moment to breathe that in.)

A few years back I found Habana Brand Clothing through one of those happy Facebook accidents. I think they found the video of my mom, Luza explaining how the internet search engines work and I saw that they shared it. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Side note: In retrospect, of course it was Luza’s video that brought us together. Of course.
We became instant friends with the owners, Lucy and Roland Vega. Also, please appreciate Roland’s Cuando Sali De Cuba story from my archives.
I remember my response when I saw their site and discovered their beautiful designs. Ay Dios mio! I was completely smitten. I need this beauty in my life.
Habana Brand has also designed the killer tshirts for Cuban Heritage Day at Dodger Stadium, which we have been super proud to represent.
It turns out that not only did I get some cool Cuban shirts and hats for me and my fam, but I am happy to report that I also got a lasting friendship that began on that happy day.

I love your blog! This hat is perfect for my 20 year old son, who although he, my husband (his father), and myself were all born and raised in Miami, his Cubanity (lol) is at full force!

Hi Marta! My father would LOVE this hat! He’s about as old school Cuban as they get, hardworking, self sacrificing and all about his family. He’s the hardest working man I’ve ever met and I’d love to do something nice for him! He would like the blue, I’m sure of it!

Mi tocaya thank you for keeping our culture alive and promoting it to other cultures. Besides loving the red baseball, red represents the red triangle in our flag I love the shirt with Cuba and the cross baseball bats.
