Do you know what’s better than receiving a super thoughtful gift in the mail? (Maybe some fresh baked homemade Pastelitos de Guayaba, but that’s not important right now.)
I’d say there’s nothing more fun than having a package land on your doorstep and getting to unpack some awesome. I don’t think Receiving Gifts is my particular brand of Love Language, but it sure is fun!
Very recently I did some work for a client and a few days later I received a box from Thoughtfully.com. It was a Beer Bread Lover’s Gift Set and it was indeed love at first sight.
Back in the day, it was all the rage to make beer bread and I loved the yeasty smell coming from the oven. I confess I haven’t done that in a super long time.
When I unpacked that beautiful box and mixed the simple ingredients together I was transported back to that wonderful time. Also, my family was incredulous. “You baked bread today?” (I know. I am totally winning here.)
Included was the Beer Bread Mix.
A perfect bread loaf pan.
A beautiful antique-looking bottle opener, and a very cool “Born to Bake” apron. The beautifully illustrated story of Beer Bread and instructions are also included.
I’m delighted to share today that my friends at Thoughtfully have very graciously offered to host today’s giveaway. How would you like your very own Beer Bread Lover’s Gift Set? (Do I need to remind you that Christmas is coming?)

My love language is gratitude, giving and receiving. I like being able to help or give to others… a thank you note, words of inspiration, a hug when needed, a shoulder to cry on, a small gift just because. Must be the mother in me. But, I also do enjoy receiving… who doesn’t? When I don’t expect it and someone is grateful for what I’ve done for them or I get a little extra for an order I’ve placed. It feels nice and helps me feel loved!

My Love Language is Appreciation. I appreciate when others do things for me and I respond in kind. When I feel appreciated by others, I tend to do more for them because I know they are grateful, and so am I for being in their lives.
Giving to others and appreciating them is my kind of love!

My love language is a combination of acts of service and quality time with some physical touch thrown in. Actions and quality time speaks much more volume to me then words and gifts.
Silvia says
My love language is gratitude, appreciation, acknowledgement, coming from both parties! It is always better to give than to receive. It satisfies/gratifiesthe heart and soul.
Renee Thomsen says
My love language is Touch. I love getting hugs from a friend or when my husband holds my hand when we’re driving in the car or walking together. Or when my grandkids put their arms around my neck. It makes my heart melt!
Aida Nava says
Acts of service. I am seriously the worst gift giver because I can’t ever recall what things people like but I can usually remember what food or cookie they like and I’d rather bake or cook a meal for them than have to buy a gift. Wash my dishes and I will love you forever.
Pam says
Not true Aida! You are one sweet lady. You sent cake my way just the other day! ? I’m sure I never said thank you. ?
Pam says
My love language is prayer. I love when The Lord reaches out and touches me from my friends prayers. And when I can do nothing to make a situation better, it is a comfort to know Jesus knows just what they need. I love your blog!

In particular my language of love equates to my family/my girls!! I am most appreciative of my girls and when they recognize me for doing something for them (not that they have to but it doesn’t hurt either). Random acts of kindness are essential. Everyone should be KIND and THANKFUL. Thank you Marta for this opportunity <3.
