(a sort of Cuban smoothie made with the pulp of the mamey fruit which is not typically found in the U.S.except for in Hispanic markets – in the frozen food section – and is hard to explain, but just trust me when I tell you that it's a truly fabulous taste treat.)

Hi, Marta. I’m just about caught up with your blog. Came across it randomly and have read all of the archives. While not Cuban, I do miss the flavor that comes from being surrounded with the Hispanic culture. My mother is from Ecuador, but I mostly see her when she visits me here in Alabama, where there is a definite lack of sabor.
