I hear Eric speaking in a seriously harsh tone:
"Things are going to have to change around here. Do you hear me? I’m not going to let you get away with this stuff anymore. Got that? I’m sick of you and your attitude. You’re not the center of the universe so quit acting like it!"
It’s so foreign to listen to this.
He never talks to any of our kids this way.
Never.
I have to go investigate.
I might have to intervene.
I definitely need to find out what has gotten into him.
I’ve obviously got to comfort the poor victim of this random tirade.

Let me know if that works. I have 4 more cats I can send to Eric for “training”.As a matter of fact, I just heard one of them jump off the “forbidden” kitchen table a second ago…Eric may have a second career as a cat trainer if this works out! LOL!
