I'm putting these two on a plane today.
I have super-mixed emotions about them traveling to Cuba, but like Amy said in her post, family trumps politics.
They will be in Miami for the next few days and then fly to Cuba next Monday.
I am FINE* with it. Really I am.
Ay, Dios mio. *heavy sigh*

Thanks for your warm welcome, Marta, and for making me feel right at blog-casa. The first blog I ever read was about your Chirino concert–I was in laughter and tears. Usually that’s the case when I click on your page–laughter, tears, a whole lot of passion, oh, yes, and hunger–hunger for more inspiring words, but definitely for some Cuban food.Btw, I browsed through your cookbook today and the first thing that came to mind was a huge long table filled with delicious fellowship and love. Did you put them on an AA plane? If you did let me know, I can check the crew list (if its a LAX crew)– for added comforts past’ed their way… :)Either way, safe travels to them both! Can’t wait to hear about their adventures!
