I take photos every day. Every day.
Okay, maybe not every single day. But most days. 😉
I took photos every single day of December, and it was pretty effortless for me because my camera was attached to me like an unusual black appendage growing out of my forehead.
But this year, I’m determined to take a photo a day to document my year (what? like a resolution?? Noooo). Ambitious? Probably.
I got the idea for this project from Photojojo. And I already take my camera everywhere and photograph everything (especially food, but that’s not important right now =D).
I like the concept of photo-documenting the simple moments of my life. That, as I’ve mentioned before, is one of the reasons why I blog. So that I can tell my own stories. I think I’m a born story-teller, and I suppose you could spin that in a negative way, but that’s not important right now. =D
I have been pulling the daily photos into Photoshop Elements and just adding the date and a small caption and printing them out. Because of my impatience, I can’t wait to see what it will all look like at the end of the year. That’s why I scrapbook. Because time really does fly. And I hate missing stuff. Especially the little things.
So, I’m going to be taking pictures every single day this year.
One whole year.
It seems like a really long time. . .
365 days.
52 weeks.
12 months.
525,600 minutes.
Or, as my good friend, Keb, (who just happens to be one year older today – Happy Birthday, my friend!) always reminds me:
"It’s just one day at a time." 😉
wow – so cool to be mentioned on yr fabulous blog, thx pal. Also dig the refernce to sbr living motto…. :> And what a swell idea to photo document 2008, really want to see that scrapbook when you’re done. Meanwhile – what is eric reading?
What a great idea!!! Marta, I wish you were closer… estoy tan atrasada con las fotos y el álbum de Nicolás… I may need to think in getting a new camera to start doing this, mine is not working that good 🙁
Marta,I was given a small rosemary plant last year and it has grown incredibly. I had not thought to plant daisies or anything else next to it. That really looks pretty and you get to enjoy the aroma.
Cool idea.
