So I just wrote it on the wall – in red.
That way he sees it first thing when he wakes up.
And starts his day with the knowledge that he is loved…
by a passionate Cuban woman.
He doesn’t seem to think it is one bit unusual that I would do this.
It speaks volumes about our relationship, doesn’t it?
Either that it’s really great. or that he’s just grown accustomed to living with an unstable person. =D
E – I love you – M.
Happy Valentine’s Day.

Wow, would you like some crackers to go with that cheese? You would think that after 17 years you’d be over all this gushy stuff. Dorks to the core. 😉 Love you both, despite your geeky-ness.

Honey, I love you so much. You truly are an amazing, creative, sexy, and brilliant -sometimes to my detriment 😉 – woman. When I really SEE you, I am struck with a sense of wonder. Why did she choose me? It’s clear that I don’t deserve you. But for some strange reason – almost 17 years ago now? – you decided to let an insecure, skinny, white guy with not a bone of rhythm in his body – into your life. It was the money right?! ;)I don’t know what else to say, honey, except Happy Valentine’s Day. YOU are the one and only love of my life. I am so sorry for not saying and acting like it more often. You deserve the best. I’ll let Bono the poet take over now. I listened to this song the other night while laying in bed. As you read the lyrics, just replace “grace” with your name. 🙂 This song is about you.
Grace
She takes the blame
She covers the shame
Removes the stain
It could be her name
Grace
It’s a name for a girl
It’s also a thought that
Changed the world
And when she walks on the street
You can hear the strings
Grace finds goodness
In everything
Grace
She’s got the walk
Not on a wrapper on chalk
She’s got the time to talk
She travels outside
Of karma, karma
She travels outside
Of karma
When she goes to work
You can hear the strings
Grace finds beauty
In everything
Grace
She carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
No twirls or skips
Between her fingertips
She carries a pearl
In perfect condition
What once was hers
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stains
Because grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things
Grace finds beauty
In everything
Grace finds goodness
In everything
You love me even when it hurts.
I am yours always,
M – I love you. – E
