As I watch my daughter, Amy wrestle with her almost 2 year old, Sebastian, I often think to myself: “She has no idea how time will start accelarating from this point on.”
As those of us who have raised children into adulthood very well know that the years fly quickly by. My own life experience has been that “The days are long, but the years are short.” It’s so very true.
Now that I’m on the other side of my child rearing days, it has taken me a few beats to make the transition from caring for everyone else to basically “minding my own business.” Welcome to Empty Nesting! Ya tu sabes.
As I was raising my four kids, I often had outside help in maintaining my home. I was homeschooling and there was always a mess to clean up and I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. I used to have a service come in every other week. I know. Such a luxury. But it was the only way I could keep up.
And as you well know, I have some serious difficulties maintaining the high standards of keeping my home Cuban Clean®.
Fast forward to today where Eric and I live and work at home. Making the empty nest transition means I’m also back to picking up our own – admittedly milder – messes.
The things I took for granted in our home for so many years parallels the jobs I didn’t have to do that fall to me now.
So, yay(!) for anything that helps me get things done more quickly and simply. Enter Bounty Select-a-size Paper Towels.
P&G sent me some product to sample and I’m super grateful for having the kind of support I get from them, especially from the P&G Empty Nest: Full Life site. You’re wondering what that’s all about, aren’t you? P&G Empty Nest:Full Life is a community for exclusive P&G coupons, recipes, and tips for your home and health. You should totally check it out.
I don’t know about you, but paper towels are a must-have in our house. Also, even though I’m on the other side of child-rearing, I’m still fully immersed in grandmotherhood. (<– is that a word?)

Thanks, Bounty. They don’t call you“The Quicker Picker Upper” for nothing. You’re totally helping to keep my Empty Nest Game pretty strong.
Full disclosure: Even though I’m feeling pretty good about empty nesting, sometimes I still get some help from my former “nesters,’ but that’s not important right now.
As you’re going about your cleaning business, get some help, as well as coupons and tips from P&G Empty Nest. Full Life. And don’t forget to turn up the MBFCF Cuban Clean® Playlist!
